1991 Gary Carter Spring Training Game Worn Uniform. UPDATE: Please note that the proper MEARS grade for this lot is A10, not A5 as listed in the printed catalog. One of the toughest uniforms out there from this Hall of Fame catcher, as The Kid represented the City of Angels for just a single season in the waning years of his incredible career. The road grey jersey offers the classic "Dodgers" logo slanting across the chest, with number "12" sewn in red tackle twill to the chest, and in blue and white to the back, where "Carter" is similarly applied directly to the jersey body. Tagging in collar is "Rawlings [size] 46" with "Set 1 1991" flap tag affixed. Perfect black sharpie inscription just below the front numerals reads, "Gary Carter #12, 1991 Spring Training." The accompanying pants have an identical inscription inside the waistband, which sports a "Rawlings [size] 36" label and embroidered strip tag "12 36-38 27 91 2." Use is light but definite, proper for a superstar's spring training uniform. MEARS A10. LOA from MEARS. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
