Description

1991-92 Jim Thome Game Worn & Signed Cleveland Indians Jersey. Jim Thome's diet to success included steak and plenty of red meat. No steroids or artificial performance enhancers were needed to belt any of his 612 lifetime home runs. This "Wilson size 46" jersey saw action when the future Hall of Famer was a mere rookie. The tagging in the collar reveals the road representation was from the first set of 1991 and has a "Tapered" cut. Great overall wear is shown with label softening/fading and fraying to the identifiers. When Thome first appeared at the Major League level he wore #6 as a late season call up. Coach Rich Dauer donned #25 in 1991 before Thome assumed the digits in 1992. Most likely this was a stock jersey carried over from 1991 and then used in '92. There is no evidence of a number change. The left sleeve contains an Indians patch. Thome signed the front in black felt tip. A great gamer from the man who helped make Cleveland relevant again in the 1990's. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
