1990 Steve Avery Game Worn Atlanta Braves Jersey. The pitching lineup of Glavine, Smoltz and Maddux had another name at the top in the early 1990's. Steve Avery was every bit as formidable as the aforementioned hurlers. But arm problems and inconsistency led to his demise. Worn by Avery during his first year in the bigs is this "Wilson [size] 42" home white jersey. Avery was #42 in his rookie campaign before switching to "33" a year later. Decent wear is shown on the knit garment with fraying on the two-color tackle twill identifiers and puckering on the tomahawk on front. The left sleeve contains a 25 Years patch. Applied in the tail are these tags: Wilson, suspended size, suspended date ("CZ") and "90" year swatch. Avery signed the front and back in 10/10 black felt tip. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
