1989 Sparky Anderson Game Worn Detroit Tigers Jersey. Sparky Anderson's place in baseball history is secure as he was the first manager to win World Series titles in both leagues. The man who pushed all the right buttons for The Big Red Machine also brought a title to Motor City. This "Rawlings [size] 40" jersey was worn by Anderson when he skippered the Tigers in 1989. A few minor stains appear just below the team script on front. Each of the identifiers is created in two-color tackle twill and exhibits solid use. The name on back is instituted in overized 4" font unique to the team. Sewn inside are two labels: Rawlings size and "Set 1 1989" flag tag. This jersey was once in a frame but subsequently removed. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
