    Description

1988 Wade Boggs Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Death, taxes and Wade Boggs hitting over .300 were certainties for the Boston Red Sox in the 1980's. The man who forged a career out of dropping in hit after countless hit just over the reach of the infield donned this very jersey during the 1988 season. Simple in style, the knit has all its pertinent identifiers in single-color navy blue. "Boston" is displayed on front while "26" takes residence on back. Light puckering is captured on the reverse numbers and both sets of identifiers have light fraying. Displayed in the tail is a "Rawlings The Mark of a Pro [size] 42" tag and "Set 1988" flag label. A great remembrance of Red Sox hitting excellence is afforded to the lucky bidder who takes home this Cooperstown-worthy knit. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
