1988 Nolan Ryan Game Worn Uniform. The ninth of eleven seasons atop the strike out leader board for the King of K's. The most fearsome power pitcher in the game's long history blew the top off the Astrodome each time he suited up in this home white knit pullover, still bringing the serious heat at age forty-one. "Astros" and star logo are applied to the chest in navy and white tackle twill, with "Ryan 34" taking up the wide expanse of the jersey's back. The unmistakable rainbow design that made the Houston Astros the most daring fashion pioneers in baseball at the time is present in the shoulder striping, and interior tail hides a "Rawlings [size] 46" label with "Set 1 1988" flap tag affixed at right. A perfect black sharpie signature appears at upper left chest. Matching pants are attributed to the 1985 season, as embroidered strip reading "Ryan 34-25 Set 1 '85" details. A "W.A. Goodman & Sons [size] 34" label is found to the left. Finally, a pair of navy blue nylon tights with stirrup feet are here, worn by Ryan under his uniform pants for style and comfort. All three pieces show light but certain wear, and combine to create an unbeatable display. MEARS A5. LOA from MEARS. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA.
