    Description

1987 Willie Stargell Game Worn Atlanta Braves Coach's Jersey. When his playing days were behind him, Willie Stargell game he so loved. Pops joined his former skipper, Chuck Tanner, in 1987 with the Atlanta Braves. Surely, the Braves could use the help of a Hall of Fame slugger. Have no fear Pirates' fans, Stargell will always be beloved for his role with the Bucs. But he did squeeze his larger-than-life frame into this "Wilson [size] 48" home white jersey during the 1987 season. Great wear is featured on the knit garment with puckering on the two-color tackle twill identifiers. "Stargell" is arched to a nameplate on back in single-color navy. Applied in the tail is a "Wilson" label, "[size] 48" suspended tag and "87" swatch. While Stargell planted plenty of home runs while with the Pirates, we are certain he clubbed a few as a hitting coach in Atlanta as well. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
