1987 Steve Carlton Game Worn Cleveland Indians Jersey. The hardest thing for an athlete to do is admit his time has passed. Usually, the jersey has to be ripped away that final time. Steve Carlton was one of baseball's best in the 1970's and kept the magic going through part of the next decade. By 1987, Carlton had lost some of that zest which made him a Hall of Famer. This Indians jersey was worn by Lefty during his abbreviated stay in Cleveland. Minor staining is visible on front which signifies use. "Indians 32" is placed on front while "Carlton 32" is affixed on the reverse. Sewn in the collar are these labels: "Rawlings [size] 46," "3 Inch Extra Length" and "1 87." The identifiers show use from Carlton's short stay with the Indians. A unique jersey from the Hall of Famer's legendary career. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
