    Description

1987 Rickey Henderson Game Worn & Signed New York Yankees Jersey. Considered by many to be the greatest leadoff hitter of all-time, Rickey Henderson still holds the Major League career records for most stolen bases, most runs scored, and most lead-off home runs. A twelve-time stolen base champion, ten-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion, and 1990 American League MVP, the Man of Steal was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009, garnering 94.8% of the first ballot vote.

This home pinstriped gamer finds the fleet-footed legend 1987 engaged in his third season in the Bronx, a campaign which featured his Yankee-high on-base percentage (.423) and an impressive seventeen home runs in only ninety-five games. Classic "NY" logo appears in navy tackle twill over heart, with number "24" similarly applied to verso. Interior collar holds "Henderson 87 2" embroidered swatch, with tagging lost to Henderson's cut hem alteration, likely executed for spring training wear. Moderate wear. A bold sharpie signature at right chest completes the package. LOA from Heritage Auctions. COA from Beckett Authentication Services.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
