    1987 Dave Righetti Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey. The 1981 American League Rookie of the Year earned his second of two career All-Star nods this season, posting a 3.51 earned run average while saving thirty-one games for manager Lou Piniella. This grey knit roadster exhibits appropriate wear for the closer role, featuring "New York" in navy and white tackle twill on the chest and Rags' number "19" on verso. Interior collar holds embroidered swatch announcing, "Righetti 87 1." Lower left front tail provides proper "Wilson [size] 44" labeling. Jersey was originally sourced through a former Yankees front office employee and includes a photocopy of his letter of provenance listing this jersey and the Mattingly and Winfield representations likewise on offer in this Signature Auction.
