1986 Tom Seaver Game Worn Boston Red Sox Cap. It was the passing of the torch in a way, as one hard-throwing future Hall of Famer took his final bows while another claimed his first of seven Cy Youngs. Surely Tom Terrific passed on some of his wisdom to a young Roger Clemens as he wore this cap during a season filled with pleasure and pain. Could Seaver have been wearing this cap as Buckner committed his unspeakable error? We'll never know that for sure, but the cap does appear to show perhaps a full season's wear, with a sweaty interior headband properly tagged "New Era 7 3/8." A faded number "41" appear on visor underside. A great piece to bring to the next Seaver autograph show appearance. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
