1986 Don Baylor/Tommy John Game Worn & Signed New York Yankees Jersey with Letter from Tommy John. The veteran pitcher whose name is now synonymous with career-saving surgery had worn number "25" since he was traded to the Chicago White Sox in 1965, so call it a pure stroke of luck that the Yankees dropped #25 Don Baylor a month before signing John as a free agent. Thus Baylor's jersey became John's for his first season in the Bronx, and here it is, a classic pinstriper with "NY" over the heart and number "25" on verso. Interior collar bears embroidered swatch reading, "Baylor 86 2." Roger Maris mourning band appears on left sleeve. Lower left front tail is tagged "Wilson" with size "46" and "Tapered" flap tags. John signs just above in 9+/10 black sharpie. Solid game wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Letter of provenance from Tommy John. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic (autograph). Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
