1983 Gaylord Perry Game Worn Jersey. Powder blue Kansas City Royals gamer was worn on the Fenway mound by this master of the Vaseline ball as he recorded one of the last of his 314 career victories. Perry was one of the first players to wear sign, date, and retire jerseys after a couple games' use, a trend that is common among superstar players in professional sports today. His blue sharpie notation on the chest reads, "Best Wishes, Gaylord Perry, 8-13-83, Boston 4 KC 5." Sewn in white tackle twill on the chest is "Royals 36," with "Perry 36" taking up the verso. A "Wilson [size] 46" tag is located inside the collar, and an embroidered "83" year swatch resides in the lower front left tail. Wear is moderate and appropriate for a pitcher. A picture perfect late career Hall of Fame gamer. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
