    Description

1983 Carl Yastrzemski Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Much like Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski had a sometimes strained relationship with the Boston faithful. By 1983, Yaz was at the end of his Hall of Fame baseball career. While a World Series was never realized, Yaz accomplished about everything a baseball player can. This "Wilson size 42" knit jersey was worn by Yaz during his final year of big league play. "Boston" is correctly spaced across the front. Starting in 1984, the second button was moved up so the team name could be sewn without a noticeable gap. A Wilson tag is sewn in the collar with "83" featured in the tail. The jersey shows light, but acceptable, use. Yaz signed the lower corner in 10/10 blue felt tip. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
