1982 Mike Schmidt Game Worn Uniform. Philadelphia finally has a true slugger again in Ryan Howard, but for years it was a red-headed third baseman who provided the long ball thrills for the City of Brotherly Love. The Hall of Famer sent thirty-five into the cheap seats this season, leaving little doubt but that this gorgeous powder blue full uniform took some slow jogs around the bases on Schmidt's frame. The jersey boasts the highly desirable zipper front, with number "20" and the logo "P" on the chest. "Schmidt 20" takes up the rear. Chain stitched swatches in the collar and tail read "Schmidt" and "82 2" respectively. A "Wilson [size] 44" tag appears in the tail as well. A perfect 10/10 blue sharpie signature was applied by Schmidt to the chest. The matching pants are tagged "Wilson [size] 34" inside the waistband, beside an embroidered swatch reading "Schmidt 82 2 25." Nice wear and the utter absence of any alterations lead authenticator Dave Bushing to issue a perfect score of A10. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from Dave Bushing. LOA from PSA/DNA. The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
