1982 Gaylord Perry 300th Victory Game Worn Seattle Mariners Uniform. Gaylord Perry reached baseball immortality when he notched his 300th win on May 6, 1982. Although he may have been aided by a little help from Vaseline, Perry still proved to be a tough customer when his turn to pitch came up. Perry sported this "Rawlings [size] 46" jersey during the first five innings of his 300th win. Perry signed the front in blue felt tip and inscribed "To Barry 5-6-82 worn first 5 innings vs. Yankees #300." The reference to "Barry" was super-collector Barry Halper. More than a few games of wear is featured on the knit masterpiece. Fraying is visible on the two-color tackle twill identifiers. A few stains also appear on the front. Could it be a little added advantage? A Rawlings tag is sewn in the tail along with a "Set 1 1982" flag designator. Also featured are the "Rawlings [size] 38" pants Perry wore that fateful day. All of the correct labels appear in the waistline. Perry inscribed "5-6-82 #300" and signed the pants twice. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
