1982-83 Gaylord Perry Game Worn Warm-Up Jacket. Any baseball fan knows that no player is more dependent upon his jacket than the pitcher, who will sport one on all but the warmest days while his team bats in order to keep his arm loose. It becomes particularly important for old men like Perry, who was in the final seasons of his twenty-two year career when he wore this nylon jacket as a member of the Seattle Mariners. The team name with the fantastic trident logo is applied in yellow and white tackle twill to the chest, with tri-color elastic cuffing at collar, sleeves and waist. "Rawlings [size] 46" label inside button path is affixed just above an embroidered "Perry 36" swatch attributing the garment to the 300 game-winner. Minor staining on the jacket front appears to be tobacco juice, and is only apparent upon fairly close inspection. Decent wear throughout. LOA from Lou Lampson.
