1981 Mark Belanger Game Worn Baltimore Orioles Jersey. Known for his impeccable defense, Mark Belanger assumed the role of shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles from 1965 to '81 before giving way to some kid named Ripken. Eight Gold Gloves, an All-Star appearance and World Series ring are all reference points to Belanger's dominance in the big leagues. Worn by Belanger during his last season in Baltimore is this road knit garment. "Orioles 7" is instituted on front in two-color tackle twill while "7" is applied to the reverse. A nameplate has been removed and "Belanger" was subsequently added. Orange/white/black ribbed material surrounds the sleeves and the neck is accentuated with black and orange. Sewn in the inner tail is a "Rawlings [size] 42" tag and "Set 1 1981" flag designator. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
