1981 Kansas City Royals Bat Boy Uniform from The Greg Stiegler Royals Bat Boy Collection.
The Kansas City Royals were near or at the top of the American League standings in the late 1970's and early '80's. Although three straight seasons would be ended by those damn Yankees, the Royals finally solved their pinstriped foes in 1980. The organization's World Series dream would finally be recognized in 1985. This bat boy uniform was owned and worn by Greg Stiegler when he worked for the team in 1981. The jersey (no size indicated) shows heavy wear and has a year tag in the tail. "Bat Boy" is arched across the reverse. The matching "Wilson size 29' pants also attend. "Bat Boy 81" is included on a swatch. The ensemble is completed with the leggings. LOA from former Royals Bat Boy Greg Stiegler. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
