    Description

1981 Carl Yastrzemski Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Long gone are the days where a player stays with one team for an entire career. Free agency and the lure of greener pastures elsewhere have become commonplace in sports. Carl Yastrzemski was a fixture with the Red Sox his twenty-three year career. His 3,419 hits, 3,308 games played and 1,844 RBI's are tops in the team's rich history.

Yaz donned this "Wilson size 42" jersey as his career was beginning to wind down. The jersey shows good overall use with sun fading to the anchor stitching. Numerous stain marks appear on the white button-up knit jersey. A Wilson size label is secured in the collar while the tail has a lone "81" year label. Red piping accentuates the neckline and front button path. Yaz signed the front in 10/10 blue felt tip. Overall a fine representation from the popular Boston sports figure. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
