1980s Gary Carter Signed & Game Used Batting Glove. Gary Carter, known as "The Kid," was a Hall of Fame catcher renowned for his enthusiastic play, leadership, and clutch performances, primarily with the Montreal Expos and the New York Mets. Over his 19-year career, Carter was an 11-time All-Star and won three Gold Glove Awards, establishing himself as one of the premier defensive catchers of his era. He was also a formidable hitter, accumulating 324 home runs and 1,225 RBIs, with many memorable moments, including his pivotal role in leading the Mets to a World Series victory in 1986. Carter's infectious enthusiasm, durability, and dedication to the game earned him a lasting legacy, culminating in his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003.
