1980's Houston Astros Game Worn Batting Practice Jersey Attributed to Bob Knepper. The Houston Astros had one of baseball's most eye-grabbing designs in the 1970's and '80's when they adopted rainbow knits. This batting practice jersey was worn by #39 during the 1980's. Bob Knepper wore those digits from 1981-1989 so it is almost certain he wore this. The nameplate on back has been removed. Each of the identifiers is heat pressed and shows great wear. Sewn in the tail is a "Goodman & Sons [size] 44" tag. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
