Description

1980 Dave Winfield Game Worn San Diego Padres Jersey. One of only six athletes to be drafted by three professional sports--1973 MLB (4th pick), 1973 NBA (5th round), 1973 ABA (6th round) and NFL (17th round)--Hall of Famer Dave Winfield was a twelve-time All-Star, seven-time Gold Glove winner and World Series champion.

Here is his Padres gamer from his last season in San Diego. Home white knit sports "Padres" arched across the chest and "Winfield" arched on the verso nameplate, with "31" below, all sewn-on in orange/yellow/brown tackle twill. Brown/orange/yellow trim adorns the ribbed v-neck collar and sleeve cuffs, with a "Wilson 44" label in the collar and a "31 80" swatch in the tail.

Evidence of solid, season-long wear includes fraying and puckering on the identifiers and wash wear on the fabric and tagging. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
