    Description

1979 Ted Williams Game Worn & Signed Old Timers Day Jersey. The fans at Fenway surely delivered a roaring ovation when Teddy Ballgame strode onto the diamond with this jersey on his back, and today we offer the opportunity to own a genuine Ted Williams Red Sox jersey at a price which won't require a second mortgage on your home. The knit button down "gamer" provides the classic "Red Sox" in Old English font across the chest and the unforgettable number "9" on verso, a style virtually unchanged from the days when The Kid ruled the American League as baseball's greatest hitter. "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." label at lower left exterior tail is framed on three sides by a "1979" year swatch, washing instructions and a size "46" designator. Wear is appropriately light for a single exhibition game. Verso supplies a flawless 10/10 black sharpie signature from the jersey's former owner. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
