1979 Lou Whitaker Game Worn Detroit Tigers Jersey.
Sweet Lou Whitaker pocketed three Gold Gloves, a World Series ring and five All-Star appearances during his borderline Hall of Fame career. A constant in the Tigers infield, Whitaker was always a fan-favorite in the Motor City. Alan Trammell's Hall of Fame nod has only flamed the fires for Whitaker's inclusion at some point.

This "Wilson size 38" home jersey is the earliest Whitaker gamer we could find. The white button-up shows great wear with consistent puckering and identifier fraying. Navy piping surrounds the neckline and flows down the button path. A few stain marks appear near the straight stitched NOB. Three labels are placed in the lower left region: size, "79 1" (year/set) and "1" just below. Whitaker signed the reverse in 10/10 silver paint pen.
