1979 George Foster Game Worn Cincinnati Reds Jersey. A fourth consecutive season in top twenty voting for National League MVP indicates that the presented home knit pullover derives from the height of Foster's storied career. Though lacking a Cooperstown plaque, Foster served as the main run producer for the mighty Big Red Machine, knocking in a National League-best 121 runs during the World Championship 1976 season. He came up just two short of triple digits the season he instilled this jersey with solid wear, a jersey garnering an impressive A9 rating from MEARS, with points lost only for the creamy toning of the fabric and a couple of insignificant unrepaired holes. Otherwise this is a perfect representation top to bottom with number "15" and the logo Reds patch on the front giving way to "Foster 15" on verso. Lower right interior tail provides "Rawlings [size] 42" label with "Set 1 1979" flap tag affixed at right. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
