1979 George Brett Game Worn Kansas City Royals Jersey, MEARS A10.
It was the 1980 season that saw Brett nearly displace Ted Williams as the last .400 man, maintaining the two-for-five pace until September 19th and running away with Most Valuable Player honors. But the 1979 campaign was a clear prelude to that season for the ages, as Brett became just the sixth man in Major League history to record at least twenty of each extra-base format: forty-two doubles, twenty triples and twenty-three home runs. He'd finish third in MVP voting in 1979.

Presented is a spectacular example of a road blue gamer sported by the Hall of Fame third baseman that season, a representation earning every point of its A10 rating from the experts at MEARS. They characterize game use as "heavy," that consistent wear apparent in the softness of the white tackle twill spelling "Kansas City" on the chest and "Brett 5" on verso, as well as the "Wilson [size] 42" label at interior collar. An embroidered "79" year swatch appears just below. Team logo patch remains affixed at left sleeve.
