1979 Dale Murphy Game Worn Jersey. With a personal trophy case featuring two National League MVP's, five Gold Gloves and four Silver Sluggers, Murphy is considered by many one of the more glaring omissions from Cooperstown's bronze brotherhood. Many believe he'll finally find entry when he reaches eligibility for Veterans' Committee consideration, at which point this road grey knit will take a significant jump in value. A lack of Hall of Fame credentials won't sour the interest of thousands of Braves fans however, who would love to see Murph back in this well-worn gamer from his second full season. "Atlanta 3" is applied in three-color tackle twill to the chest, with "Murphy 3" on verso. The highly desirable feather logo appears at left sleeve. "Wilson [size] 44" label inside collar is balanced by the embroidered "79" year swatch at lower left tail. A 10/10 blue sharpie signature upon the chest rounds out this fine package. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Guide Value or Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
