    Description

1979 Bobby Brown Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey & Jacket. The New York Yankees regained their perch atop the baseball world in the late 1970's. While the Bronx was burning, it was also the epicenter of winning baseball. This "Wilson [size] 44" jersey was most likely donned by coach Bobby Brown in 1979. While the uniform top is tagged for use in 1978, Gil Patterson was not on the '78 squad. There is also a memorial band which was used in 1979 and '80 to honor Thurman Munson. Nobody wore "22" for the Yankees in 1978. Affixed in the collar is a swatch which reads: "Patterson 78 2." A Wilson size label is affixed in the tail. A Yankees "Aladen Athletic Corp. [size] 46" jacket completes this listing. The collar holds three tags: "22" white swatch, manufacturer's tag, size indicator and metal hang fastener. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
