1978 Pete Rose Game Worn Cincinnati Reds Jersey. It was one of the most significant years in the career of Charlie Hustle's, populated by his entry into the 3,000 Hit Club, a memorable forty-four game hitting streak, and a post-season free-agency signing by the Phillies.

Presented is a road grey knit that shows tremendous wear from the hardest working man in the baseball, with evidence of tobacco juice and infield clay stains. "Cincinnati 14" is emblazoned on the chest, with "Rose 14" on verso. Interior collar holds "Wilson 44" label. Swatch at lower left front tail is embroidered "78 1," with a faded "Purchased from Cincinnati Reds" stamp just below. The team often sold old uniforms and cracked bats in the Riverfront Stadium gift shop, the source of this particular gamer. Certainly one of the best Rose shirts in the hobby, with outstanding wear, key vintage and superlative provenance. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
