    Description

1977 Toronto Blue Jays Inaugural Season Game Worn Jersey. Very tough jersey represents the very first road style for the expansion Toronto Blue Jays, as worn by their big right-hander Jesse Jefferson. You'll note in our catalog photography a "Blue Jays" plate above the jersey, which was placed over the "Toronto" on the chest when the shirt served a second tour of duty in the minors. We've removed the plate to restore the jersey to its original state, though the minor league plate is included. Terrific chenille logo bird is centered upon chest, with stylishly fonted number "34" on verso showing a degree of separation but still presenting nicely. "Rawlings [size] 42" label is present inside front tail, where an embroidered swatch reading "34 42 77 1" hangs on by its left seam (this is curled and difficult to photograph, but is clearly genuine and authentic). Wear is strong throughout. A piece that will only become more precious with every passing year of Blue Jays history. LOA from Lou Lampson. Guide Value or Estimate: $600 - $800.
