1976 Willie Mays Game Worn Jersey. Playing-days gamers from this top-tier Hall of Famer will remain out of reach for all but the most well-funded collectors in the hobby, but there is hope for the mere mortals among us with this home white pinstriped New York Mets gamer, sported by Say Hey in his third year as a coach at Shea. Matching his late career gamers step for step in terms of display value, the bargain here results only from the "1976" flap tag in the tail, which joins another reading "Set 1" to the right of the "Rawlings [size] 42" label. Otherwise the unmistakable "Mets 24" on the chest, with number repeated on verso, is sure to send fans and jersey collectors alike into a swoon. Team logo patch on left sleeve. Strong wear certainly suggests that Willie continued to take a fair amount of batting practice for the entertainment of fans arriving at the Flushing ballpark early on game days. SCD A8.
