    Description

1976 Warren Spahn Game Worn Jersey. Though the Hall of Fame southpaw was fifty-five years old when he sported this road grey Atlanta Braves jersey, there's a good chance he still could have pitched a complete game if the need arose. The ageless wonder, who hurled over 200 pitches in a fourteen-inning one to nothing loss at forty-two year old, offered his coaching skills to a new generation while sporting his retired number "21." Red white and blue tackle twill identifiers appear on front and verso, with the highly desirable arrow design on the left sleeve. "Wilson [size] 42" label appears above a "76 42" embroidered swatch inside the collar. Light but definite coaching wear. A 10/10 blue sharpie "Best Wishes, Warren Spahn" provides the cherry on top. A rare opportunity to own a jersey from a WWII-era Hall of Famer at a relatively reasonable figure. LOA from Lou Lampson. LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Guide Value or Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
