Description

1976 Rollie Fingers Game Worn Oakland A's Jersey, MEARS A10. The owner of the most memorable mustache in Major League history finished in the top ten for Cy Young voting for a second consecutive season during our nation's bicentennial year, an occasion proudly remembered with a Liberty Bell patch on the presented jersey's left sleeve. The alternate yellow Oakland A's jersey is a collector's dream for the distinctive style alone, even before we consider its former ownership by the leading pioneer of modern relief pitching. The green and white tackle twill logo "A's" over the heart is original and unaltered, as is the "Fingers 34" on verso, contributing to the perfect A10 rating from the experts at MEARS. Heavy wear furthers the jerseys's cause. Lower center exterior tail holds extensive "McAuliffe Uniform Corp." labeling, with "1976" and "42" designators joining a washing instructions tag. Certainly one of the finest gamers extant from this iconic Hall of Famer whose name remains synonymous with 1970's baseball excellence. LOA from MEARS, graded A10. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
