1976 Reggie Jackson Game Worn Jersey. The toughest of all Reggie jerseys, as the Hall of Fame slugger wore the Orioles' orange and black for only a single season before becoming the straw that stirred the Yankees' drink in consecutive World Championship campaigns. With an American League-leading slugging percentage of .502 in '76, the former A's star quickly endeared himself to the residents of the Babe's hometown, where he suited up in this home white knit as outfielder and designated hitter. "Orioles 9" is stitched in orange and black tackle twill to chest, with number "9" repeated on verso. Tagging inside right front tail is "Rawlings [size] 42" with "1976" and "Set 1" flap tags affixed at right. Fine wear is very readily visible, and a few stray dots of blue ink on verso do little to detract from eye appeal. An important piece for the advanced game worn jersey collector. Sourced from the Joe Franklin Show producer and famed fitness guru Joe Orenstein, with his letter of authenticity and various publications related to Orenstein's vast connections to the sporting world included. SCD A8. LOA from Dan Knoll & Dave Bushing/ SCD Authentic.
