1976 Hank Aaron Game Worn Milwaukee Brewers Uniform.
The greatest sluggers always seem to come back home in the end. Babe Ruth clubbed his last long balls in Boston. Willie Mays returned to the Big Apple sixteen seasons after the Giants headed west. And twenty-three years after Hammerin' Hank's debut with the Milwaukee Braves, the Home Run King hung up his thunderous bat in his old Wisconsin home.

Presented is one of the last uniforms worn by the man who most baseball purists continue to consider the proper resident of the sport's power throne. The powder blue road jersey trumpets "Brewers 44" across the chest in blue and yellow tackle twill, the same format utilized to form the double-fours on verso. These rear numerals, and the area surrounding, exhibit a degree of water damage that will be apparent in our catalog imagery, but obverse presents with only minor relative distraction. Lower left front tail holds proper dual "Sand-Knit" tagging designating Brewers exclusivity and "Size 44."

Matching pants exhibit solid wear commensurate with that of the jersey, with interior waistband labeling that reads, "H. Aaron, 75 35 26 1/2." Dual "Sand-Knit" tagging appears again here, with Brewers exclusivity and "Size 36" designators. The former bears a handwritten "44" in marker. Snap buttons show some rust. A rare full ensemble from the closing act of one of the game's Mount Rushmore figures. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
