Description

1976 Carlton Fisk Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Pudge's wildly gesticulating walk-off to force a seventh game in the 1975 World Series remains one of the most dramatic moments in the history of our national pastime. This road gray knit pullover was worn during the following season.

Classic Old English font spells "Boston" in two-tone tackle twill on the chest, giving way to the long-since retired number "27" on reverse. Tagging includes "McAuliffe" and "45" in the collar with "1976" and the washing instructions label in the front tail. The black armband on the left sleeve memorialized long time Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey.

The jersey is completely original and exhibits fine game wear, with surface wear on the identifiers. Note: The cut at the v-neck was perhaps done after the fact at the camp level. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
