    Description

1975 Billy Williams Game Worn Oakland Athletics Jersey. The great Hall of Famer Billy Williams wore this road jersey during the 1975 campaign, his first in a uniform other than his fabled 16-year career with the Cubs. The blazing green Size 40 road uniform is essentially problem free and sports the McAuliffe 1975 tagging on the front tail and a restored "B. Williams" in white letters and original number "28" on the back. After three consecutive World Series crowns from 1972-74 in Oakland, Williams could be forgiven for hoping his 1975 sortie to the West Coast (23 home runs, 81 RBI and .244) would produce a first-ever Fall Classic for the sweet-swinging slugger, but it was not to be as the A's fell in the Playoffs to Boston. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
