1974 Rod Carew Signed Game Worn Minnesota Twins Jersey. Like death and taxes, Rod Carew hitting above the .300 mark was a virtual given. For fifteen straight seasons, Carew finished at .300 or better. When Carew retired from the game in 1985 only five other players could boast such a claim. And only Cobb, Wagner and Gwynn accrued more batting crowns than Carew's seven.

Hall of Fame hurler Catfish Hunter assessed his contemporary this way: "He has no weaknesses as a hitter. Pitch him inside, outside, high, low, fast stuff, breaking balls; anything you can throw he can handle. He swings with the pitch; that is why he is so great. He has no holes."

The hitting machine comfortably slipped into this "Wilson 42" jersey when he was at the peak of his powers - 1974. That year, Carew hit .364 and won the American League batting crown. The powder blue jersey exhibits light wear as it was the third road set issued to him that season. "Twins 29" is crafted in two-color tackle twill on front while "Carew 29" takes shape on back. The NOB is in single-color red tackle twill. A period Wilson tag is sewn in the collar, and the tail features a "74 3" white swatch. The left sleeve displays the endearing Twin City patch. NRMT blue sharpie autograph on the front. Full LOA from SGC Authentic. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
