1974 Mike Marshall Game Worn Jersey. Known alternately in recent years as the toughest living ballplayer's autograph and the controversial guru of a new shoulder-friendly pitching style, Marshall was starring in the role of the National League's best pitcher the season he sported this grey roadster. Dating from a season that saw Marshall claim the Cy Young Award en route to a Senior Circuit pennant, the offered knit features the classic scripted "Dodgers" in blue tackle twill on the chest, with a red number "28" just below. "Marshall 28" is applied in blue to verso. Proper "Wm. Goodman & Sons [size] 40" label resides inside the collar, with embroidered "Set 2 '74" swatch in left front tail. Strong wear is apparent throughout, evidence of over one hundred mound appearances during this historic season. Certainly the finest Marshall jersey ever to reach the auction block. LOA from Lou Lampson.
