1974 Duke Sims New York Yankees Game Worn Pants. Duke Sims was a solid defensive catcher whose career batting average of .239 was deceiving. Sims retired with a very respectable .340 OBP -- better than many "higher-average" lifetime hitters. Sims was traded by the New York Yankees to the Texas Rangers on May 7, 1974. The pinstriped pants exhibit minimal wear with no apparent alterations, and feature "Wilson [size] 37" label at interior waistband beside an embroidered swatch stating "Sims 41 74 2 24." Pants were later worn by Rick Anderson with the Tacoma Yankees in 1978. Part of his last name appears in red marker at interior waistband.
