1974 Al Oliver Game Worn Pittsburgh Pirates Jersey. A lifetime .303 hitter with 2,743 hits and 1,326 RBI, Al Oliver is at the top of the list of players who should be in the Hall of Fame. A starter on the 1971 World Series Champion Pittsburgh Pirates, he was teammates with Clemente, Stargell and Maz. During the season he wore the jersey presented here, Oliver hit .321 with thirty-eight doubles, twelve triples, eighty-five RBI, and finished seventh in the 1974 N.L. MVP balloting.

Home white knit pullover reports "Pirates" arched across the chest with the identifying "16" on the verso., all in black on gold tackle twill. The jersey is further accentuated by the placement of black/gold trim around the collar and sleeves. Residing inside the front tail are two tags: a "Rawlings 42" manufacturing/size tag and a "Set 1#8P 1974" flap tag. The jersey, which is completely original, shows wonderful season long wear. It also undoubtedly saw minor league action, as suggested by the name "Deba" which appears faded marker inside the tail. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
