1973 Wilbur Wood Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey. Wilbur Wood made a name for himself as a knuckleballer with the Chicago White Sox and remained in the Windy season for a dozen seasons. Here is his home white knit gamer, sporting a zipper front and red pinstripes with "28 Sox" across the chest and "28" on the verso, all sewn-on in red on white tackle twill. There is also a circular "Sox" patch sewn onto the left sleeve. "Wood" is scripted in black chainlink onto a white swatch in the collar with "Wilson 44" and "73 Set 1" in the tail. This exemplar exhibits nice game wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
