1973 Steve Stone Game Worn Chicago White Sox Jersey. While most remember Steve Stone as being Harry Caray's partner in crime during Cubs broadcasts, he did have a successful run as a pitcher. The 1980 National League Cy Young Award winner wore this "Wilson size 42" powder blue jersey when he toed the rubber for the White Sox in 1973. The "Chicago" portion of the front is in two-color tackle twill while the team name is in white chenille threads. Exception use is exhibited with sun fading to the identifiers and consistent puckering. The left sleeve includes 4" numbers. Red/white/red piping surrounds the sleeves and neckline. The white portion of the trim is missing on back. "Stone" is affixed to the swatch in the collar while the tail has a period Wilson tag and "73 Set 2" reference. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
