Description

1973 Ron Santo Game Worn & Signed Chicago Cubs Jersey. Ron Santo gave Chicago baseball fans fifteen solid seasons of play at the hot corner, the first fourteen of which were with the Cubs. A lifetime .277 hitter, his career tallies of 342 homers and 1,331 RBI included four seasons of thirty or more homers, four seasons over the 100-RBI mark, and four seasons leading the league in walks. The owner of five consecutive Gold Glove awards, he was also a nine-time N.L. All-Star.

The Santo gamer offered here was worn at Wrigley during his last All-Star season in 1973. The home white knit pullover with light blue pinstripes displays a large "Cubs" disc logo patch over the left chest, the familiar "cubby head" patch residing on the left sleeve, and "10" on the verso sewn-on in blue tackle twill. Blue trim adorns the v-neck collar and sleeve cuffs, with a "Wilson 42" manufacturer's label in the collar and a "73" year swatch in the tail. Exhibiting fine overall game wear, the front of the jersey has a team repair and is signed in NRMT black sharpie. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
