1973 Luis Aparicio Game Worn Boston Red Sox Jersey. Shortstop has been long known as a power position. Luis Aparicio challenged that theory when he ascended to the big league ranks in 1956. The slick-fielding dynamo won nine Gold Gloves during his Hall of Fame career. Aparicio wore this "McAuliffe [size] 38" jersey when he entertained the home crowd in 1973. Good use if featured on the knit pullover. "Red Sox" is expressed across the front while "11" takes shape on back. The collar includes a McAuliffe tag and size label while the tail features year and washing instructions labels. Dirt marks are visible on both sides of the knit garment. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
