Description

1973 Darrell Evans Game Worn Jersey. Arguably the most popular and beloved of all Atlanta Braves styles, the "feather on sleeve" model is quite often seen as a throwback today, but this is the genuine article. Best remembered as the look Hank Aaron was sporting when he hit number 715 to pass the Babe, the presented example was worn during Evans' best season, one in which he actually topped the Hammer with forty-one long balls. The pullover knit features the patriotic tri-tone "Braves 11" applied in tackle twill to the chest, with number "11" repeated on verso. "Wilson [size] 44" label is affixed at interior collar, and a simple "73" embroidered swatch is present at front left exterior tail. Wear is very strong, almost certainly due to an extra season or two in the minors, though it must be stressed that all identifiers are original and unmoved. LOA from Lou Lampson.
