1973 Cito Gaston Game Worn & Signed San Diego Padres Jersey -- Rare Style. Before Cito Gaston was a two-time World Series skipper, he was like most men who became a manager. A decade long career was spent as a marginal player. This rare style, only used for two seasons, began the Padres wild double knit experience. "Padres" is arched across the gold chest in single-color brown while "21" is centered on back. The ribbed cotton collar adds a dose of aesthetics. "Rawlings size 44" and "Set 1 #8P 1973" tags are on the outer right tail which matches other known exemplars. Gaston sealed the deal with a signature in the collar. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

Guide Value or Estimate: $1,500 - up.
