1972 Rube Walker Game Worn New York Mets Jersey. Albert Bluford "Rube" Walker won his first World Series with Brooklyn's Bums in 1955, as Campy's backup, and his second as a coach with the Amazing's in 1969, where he was the guiding auspices behind their powerful, young pitching staff. Here is Rube's button-down road gray gamer from the dawn of the "knit era" in 1972, with "New York 54" across the front and "54" on the verso, all sewn-on in blue on orange tackle twill. The sensational "skyline" disc patch sits on the left sleeve with a "54 46 72" swatch in the collar and "Wilson 46" label in the tail. Nice wear and completely original. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
