1972 Minnesota Twins Game Worn Jersey with Unique Patch.
It isn't often when a patch can upstage the actual uniform. Hideous may be a bit kind when describing what the Twins patch on their 1972 jerseys resembled. One game-worn reference site called it "baseball's ugliest patch ever." The short-lived patch is affixed over the left sleeve of this "Spalding size 46" road representation. We checked the roster and nobody wore the digits in '72 so we assume it saw Spring Training action or served as an extra. The underscored team name and numbers show consistent wear. The rear interior includes a size tag, Spalding label and year indicator. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
